Baby clothes

These two photo's are of the closet and amoire, as you can see four years allows for the collection of lots of clothes and assorted items. We have clothes in all sizes for all seasons! I hope to know this week just how old and how big our baby is!!

More nursery pictures

More nursery photo's and a picture of the shower curtain I made with the help of a good friend. (I don't sew, but the fabric matches the bedding and the bath is connected to the bedroom) It turned out great, the bathroom is light pink. One more practice picture post and maybe I will have this down!

referral news...

I spoke to my agency today, they expect the next batch to arrive between July 15th and July 22nd!!! We are sooo close!!! Can you imagine, July 15th is less than a week away!!! I am going to guess they arrive on July 17th or on July 21st. Tuesdays and Fridays are historically good days for arrival of referrals.

Katie's middle name

In the beginning when we didn't have a name yet we used "doodle" as a temporary name. After several months we selected a name, Katherine, and plan to call her Katie. Well that was back in late 2006 and we just recently decided on a middle name..........Jade.
Katherine Jade....I really like the sound of that!

39 Months and counting...

39 months ago today, the CCAA logged our dossier in. Thats a loooong time. I know everything happens for a reason and we will receive the child destined to be our daughter but after all this time it just doesn't seem real.
I said before I started this blog for practice so we can update it from China. Well, I need to practice posting pictures soon because I am going to have one very important picture in about 4 weeks to post here for everyone to see.

We are NEXT!

As I guessed along time ago it has now happened that referrals have arrived and missed us by ONE day. Thats right, the latest batch arrived today and matched families through March 20th, 2006!(We are 3/21/2006) I said months ago, actually years ago that would be our luck. The only positive about it, and its a BIG positive is now we know for sure WE ARE NEXT!! We will receive our referral in the next batch,approximately 4 weeks from right now. I can't even believe it after all this time. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry so I can only imagine what I will be like when it actually happens. I guess I need to dust off those packing list I made back in 2006 and get busy!
