We received Katie's translated growth report

We have learned more information about our Katie, some of which I will share. Its all good, she is in foster care and has been since she was several days old. We now know the meaning of her name, Xiao means dawning and Kai means triumph. Several times in the report we received it states that she smiles alot and is a happy baby. I have done some research and read some information about her orphanage online and found that the children are healthy, well cared for and atleast alot of the time they are peanuts! She sure looks like she will be a peanut! We are sooo eager to go get her!!

Here she is!!!!!!!!!!! Her name is Yi Xiao Kai and she is in the Jiangxi Province!! She was born November 18, 2008!! She is barely 8 months old!!!! Isn't she adorable??

H el lo Great Wall Families!

The stork has landed at Great Wall! Today we received sixteen (16) referrals for families whose dossiers were logged in on March 21, 2006. The CCAA has issued a cutoff date of March 22, 2009. All 16 referrals were girls! The children range in age from 7 months to 22 months. The children in this referral group are from the following Provinces: Jiangxi (12) and Hunan (4). Congratulations to these families!

Tomorrow is the day!!!!!!

I spoke to our agency earlier and got confirmation the referrals are in the mail and will arrive tomorrow!!! I can't even believe that after 40 months of officially waiting we will see a picture of Katie tomorrow!!!!!

Baby clothes

These two photo's are of the closet and amoire, as you can see four years allows for the collection of lots of clothes and assorted items. We have clothes in all sizes for all seasons! I hope to know this week just how old and how big our baby is!!

More nursery pictures

More nursery photo's and a picture of the shower curtain I made with the help of a good friend. (I don't sew, but the fabric matches the bedding and the bath is connected to the bedroom) It turned out great, the bathroom is light pink. One more practice picture post and maybe I will have this down!

referral news...

I spoke to my agency today, they expect the next batch to arrive between July 15th and July 22nd!!! We are sooo close!!! Can you imagine, July 15th is less than a week away!!! I am going to guess they arrive on July 17th or on July 21st. Tuesdays and Fridays are historically good days for arrival of referrals.
