More pictures and a few details from the day...

This is the second post today. Its hard to select just a few pictures to share we are taking so many and saw so much today. Our guide took us at 8:30 this morning for a full day of touring. We saw Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, The Great Wall as well as visited a factory for  Cloissimie (this spelling is wrong) that you can only buy in Beijing and we had a really nice true Chinese lunch. Our guide said we would cover a lot of ground and boy she wasn't kidding. We walked all day. It was great, the weather is beautiful and sunny with a nice breeze blowing. The pictures in this post are of the factory, where we did buy some beautiful christmas ornanments, the Great Wall and the birdsnest.
At the Great Wall I was amazed at how steep it was, all the steps are different heights and you felt like you where climbing a ladder they where so steep. Roger went way on up the wall far past where Rhonda and I stopped. You can thank him for the pictures from there.
We stopped by the birdsnest from the Olympics on the way back to our hotel for some shots of it and the water cube. Its really something to see in person. We arrived back at the hotel around 6:30. Our guide has arranged a wake up call for all of us at 4:30 am and our luggage has to be in the hall ready to go at 4:50 AM if we want to check it for the next flight. We go to Nanchang first thing in the morning, our flight leaves here at 8:05 and takes 2 1/2 hours to get there. The babies are being brought to us at the hotel tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 PM. So when you guys get up on Sunday morning we will have Katie, less than 24 hours from now. I still can't believe it.
We appreciate your comments, while we have been unable to see them here in Beijing, Darci was kind enough to send them to us.  Oh, one last funny thing , our guide today told us the Chinese people have an affectionate nickname for westerners......it "big nose".  Everyone thought this was funny, then later when discussing how many in our group are over the weight allowance for tomorrows intra China flight she said "no worries, big nose always bring big bags" we all cracked up on that one.
Next post from Nanchang! Stay tuned!

I have tears in my eyes reading this. I can't believe you will get Katie less than 24 hours from now. Amazing. I'm so glad you were able to see so much of Beijing. You're so lucky. Sleep well and I hope tomorrow's flight is uneventful. ((((( HUGS )))))

Congratulations! As Mim and I read this, thinking about tomorrow, it gave us chills. As fortunate as we are to know a couple like you, your daughter katie, is also extremely fortunate to have parents like you.
Love to all and bring the entire family home safely.
By the way, if "Big Nose" is a positive, Roger should have been able to sit in the cockpit on the flight.
