We are in Beijing!!!

I hope this post comes through OK, we are not able to access the blog right now ourselves so I am sending this update through e-mail. We arrived with no problems, our guide was waiting to meet us, and all our luggage arrived safely to. We had to complete forms on the plane listing our locations for the next 7 days incase they need to locate us for quarantine. We also passed through the temperature scanners twice upon arrival at the airport. We are completely exhausted! We only slept a few hours just before landing and that was not good sleep. The airplane was great, we each had our own video unit and all the free movies, tv, games etc you can imagine to help pass the time. We are now at the hotel in downtown Beijing. Everything we have been told is true about the traffic, its first come first serve so to speak. We went to a local shopping mart to get some bottle water and ofcourse I found and bought some Lays potato chips and coke to bring back to the room. We are ordering room service next and are going to try to stay awake until 7:00 - 8:00 local tiime to help us get adjusted. It is currently 5:30 pm here so we don't have to long to go. We leave at 8:00 in the morning for  a full day of touring Beijing. We will try to post some photo's and updates each day. For today, I took a couple quick shots of the view out our window. It doesn't do it justice though. We are almost there.... in approx 48 hours local time we will have Katie!! Stay tuned! Regina
